The New Josh Turner

Life has certainly been good to country artist Josh Turner through the years, so what's next for the talented handsome Mr. Turner?, a brand new album titled Punching Bag set to be released June 12,2012 and just in time for those long hot summer days to start again. With four previous albums under his belt Josh Turner has reached many milestones, so many to count in fact his most memorable being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, the youngest to be inducted and being dad to three beautiful boys, Hampton, Colby and Marion. The first single release from Punching Bag "Time Is Love" has proven to be more than a love song, more so a time of patience for writers Tony Martin and Mark Nesler who spent more than a year, 36 months to be in fact on what would be the longest time spent on a song. Both Martin and Nesler merely had patience in writing it before writer Tom Shapiro came into the thick of things, as some say there's plenty of time to get it just right.
"Time Is Love" has taken it's time to climb the charts and still climbing, while the video for the song is in current rotation on GAC and CMT.

Up All Night with Kip Moore

From the small town of Tifton, Georgia to Nashville, Tennessee Kip Moore spent more than ten years honing his songwriting skills before the biggest break of his career was sent into full throttle. Moore is now Up All Night with his debut which was released on April 24th. With an album he finally calls his own feels right at home at Universal Music Group Nashville. Kip's music can only be defined as raw and rustic as he is, right down to his playing skills, not only is Moore a singer songwriter he play's a mean guitar.The multi-talented musician is making his mark in country music and on music row. Moore's rise wasn't easy in fact difficult at times as Kip mentions in many interviews. Kip credits songwriter,musician and producer Brett James for leading him into the right direction of his music career and along the way Kip found a friend in James, the magic between Moore and James only begun when writing for the album. Kip wrote or co-wrote all eleven tracks on his debut with writers Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsey, Troy Verges, Dan Couch, Blair Daly, Trent Summar,Dave Lapsley, Keifer Thompson of Thompson Square and Brett James. Since it's debut, "Up All Night" is a true hard working, up all night dedicated piece of art. I praise Moore for staying true to himself through those difficult but rough times itching for his big break, and now at his rise to fame, there's no doubt of Moore slowing down yet.

The Heart of Ohio For Casey James

Casey James returns to Ohio this week for Musica in downtown Akron a live event held yearly. What's a surprise to me is how loved Casey is here, the support and loyality is truly wonderful. My hometown of Hartville and surrounding areas, Canton and Akron have embraced James since his first gig last August for the North Canton Main Street Festival. James' heart lives here, I'm not hearing any complaints. The Canton Repository's Dan Kane recently chatted with Casey, I must say Kane and James are a match made in heaven.

Highlights From The 47th Academy of Country Music Awards

What you might have missed from the 47th Academy of Country Music Awards will want you to relive the moment all over again. The pivitol highlights of the evening a wedding, a real wedding acompanied by the duet of Martina McBride and Train's Pat Monahan performing "Mary Me". The story behind the wedding would make a grown man cry,the bride lost her husband from a tragic event early on in her life,and as a widow and single mom of two found true love again.

Keith Urban performed "For You" in honor of the military, the song featured on the soundtrack for the the film Act of Valor. It's the sacrifice made in the day to day military struggle and fight. Urban's performance shows footage of the film. Attendee's were of those in the military services.

Zac Brown Band brings Brad Paisley to the stage to perform "Whisky's Gone" in which Paisley gives homage to Zac Brown wearing of course in Brad Paisley fashion a beanie. The rowsing performance was truly an instrumental high note. Paisley showing his guitar licks giving Zac Brown a run for it.

Little Big Town brought us awareness of Child Hunger in our nation, a young children's choir acompanied them in song, it just so happened to be a performance non of us will forget,it does put a great effect on us in this world how many children go without food. You can download "Here's Hop on i-tunes, you can submit donations at the Academy of Country Music Awards official web site and recieve more information on the Child Hunger program.
