2012 American Country Awards Highlights, News, and Winners


Bright lights, big city, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, don't let country music fool you, country folks love to partyOur favorite country artists will shine tonight at the 3rd Annual American Country Awards hosted by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth. This fan voted awards show will be high rolling,full of fun! Tune in at 8pm EST/7pm Central/4pm Pacific for a night you won't forget on FOX.

Of the many performances through out the evening, we saw Luke Bryan start the show with " Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye", Dierks Bentley perform "Country Cold Cans", Rascal Flatts "Hot In Here", Kip Moore "Beer Money" and "Somethin' Bout A Truck", Jake Owen "The One That Got Away", Jason Aldean "Only Way I Know" and Little Big Town "Tornado" with special highlighted performances from Keith Urban with the Grammy Camp, a musical high for these special talented young musicians and vocalists. Trace Adkins performed with the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd  on "What's Your Name Little Girl" getting the crowd into a wild frenzy. Co-host Kristen Chenoweth gave the audience a rowdy flamboyant performance of "What Would Dolly Do", ending the evening with Lady Antebellum performing  "Baby, Please Come Home" from their new Christmas album On This Winters Night". Of those highlighted performances, the show gave us laughs that would give anyone a stomach ache. The comedic banter between Adkins and Chenoweth is a match made in heaven.

94.9FM WQMX 13th Annual Tree of Lights Charity Event

Akron's 94.9FM WQMX holds 13th annual Tree of Lights to benefit Haven of Rest Ministries, a non-profit Stark County organization, Haven of Rest provides food, clothing, physical,emotional and spiritual needs to the homeless in the greater areas of Akron and Canton, Ohio. WQMX have benefit Haven of Rest for more than a decade and it's my honor to bring awareness to the country music community of this special cause. Your donation to Haven of Rest will help light the giant Christmas tree at the WQMX studios in Akron Thursday December 6th through  Saturday December 8th all donations are excepted.

2013 CMA Music Festival

Country Music Lights Up With Christmas Specials This Holiday Season

 Life is so good these days for Blake Shelton, CMA's Male Vocalist and Entertainer of The Year who released his first Christmas album in October, Cheer's It's Christmas is coming to TV this holiday season with his first Christmas Special, Blake Shelton's  Not-So-Family Christmas airing on NBC  Monday December 3,2012 at 10pm EST/9pm Central with an Encore presentation on Friday December 7,2012 at 8pm EST/7pm Central. Blake will be joined by his lovely wife, singer songwriter and artist Miranda Lambert among Reba, Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera. Blake Shelton fans will receive a double dose of Shelton this Christmas season with Blake on Michael Buble`s Christmas special airing  Monday December 10,2012 on NBC at 10pm EST/9pm Central. Blake and Michael will collaborate on the single "Home" that broke chart records for Buble` and Shelton. Other guests to appear on the Michael Buble` Special , Carly Rae Jepsen and Rod Stewart. CBS has announced the 14th Annual Home For The Holidays. A Home For The Holidays benefits adoption and foster care in part of The Dave Thomas Foundation.
Hosting the televised event Rascal Flatts with performances from  Rachel Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty, and Phillip Phillips. Wayne Brady, Kevin Frazier and Jillian Michaels will present inspiring emotional stories of family adoption. Tune in Wednesday December 19,2012 at 8pm EST/ 7 Central on CBS.
