Introducing Doug Briney

Country isn't cool without having a positive effect on others. For Doug Briney words of wisdom is his star and he makes note of it in song, from his version of Ronnie Dunn's "Bleed Red" Briney's character shines. The Anchorage Alaska based musician and minister connects to a general audience. It is one's voice that makes a difference and that is Doug Briney.Briney is no stranger to the stage who performs across the cold climate of Alaska and beyond.Doug may not be your typical current contemporary artist either, independently Doug has a mass market of followers and friends. His vocal style is his own, he who sets the path. Briney reminds us the days when country wasn't cool, I applaud Doug for his traditional country sound. Legendary artist Johnny Cash spoke to a crowd in only words from those songs we remember so well, Ring of Fire and Jackson, words leave an ever lasting effect on others, Briney does just that. The Christian Country appeal may not however be everyone's cup of tea although Briney makes a true impact on listeners. Currently Doug is establishing himself in the right places and with those following suit we'll see more of Briney to make the leap from Anchorage to Nashville. Doug is better known for his singles "More Than Just A Farm" and " It's All Country" from his debut release. Briney's influences isn't a far stretch who range from Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood, The Gatlin Brothers to more of today's artists, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Chris Young and Josh Turner all who carry the traditional country sound. Truly, Doug Briney is one to look to as a new rising star.
