Randy Travis who's had on going health issues this year due to a stroke he suffered this past summer is currently on going treatment and rehabilitation, surely long before hand Randy filmed a Life Time holiday movie that will air Saturday December 14th at 8 pm EST on the Life Time movie channel Christmas on The Bayou. Christmas isn't Christmas without Randy Travis who's made appearances in holiday films in years past including Christmas Shows and specials. Christmas on The Bayou synopsis Katherine, emotionally scared from a failed marriage plunges herself into a workaholic that soon takes it's toll not only herself, her son as well. Instead of Christmas in a big city decides to go back to her town of Louisiana where her meddling mother becomes the towns match maker. An old admirer comes back into Katherine's life that would complicate things to further her decision to remain where she grew up or in the big city. It proves other wise when Papa Noel convinces Katherine it is the bayou where she belongs. From fellow artist and friend Sammy Kershaw stated on his Facebook page earlier in the month Randy Travis has developed pneumonia through out his recovery stay due to suffering from a stroke and heart trouble a month earlier.
Kershaw wrote this update on the page August 18th, "Olde friend Randy Travis needs our prayers. "Had a little setback this weekend". He has developed pneumonia". "Let's rock on for him".
Instantly Kershaw fans offered strong words of support and prayers for Randy during this time. Many prayers sent to Randy and his family through these challenges ahead. Setbacks will prove strength throughout his recovery. Representatives haven't confirmed on any further information at this time. The last health update from Randy's official website was to inform fans he'd been relocated to a physical therapy facility after 3 weeks spent at Baylor Heart in Plano, Texas. After suffering from a heart infection and a stroke in early July Randy Travis is recovering from congestive heart failure.From a press release statement early today Travis' fiancee Mary Davis announced Randy has been cleared and released from Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas. Randy will begin therapy and rehabilitation. “Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery,” It was touch and go from Randy since he was admitted July 7th, and now that is he is recovering many prayers continue for him and his family during this time. Due to the nature of progress, Randy Travis remains in critical condition at the Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas from the complications of congestive heart failure and has suffered a stroke. He will under go surgery to relieve the pressure that has put extensive strain on the lobes of his brain.Travis was life flighted earlier this week to Mckinny's Baylor Health Hospital with a viral upper respiratory condition, viral cardiomyopathy.
