Sarah Darling Previews New Music Via Stage It Tuesday December 8th

Photo Courtesy of Sarah Darling and Joe's Pub

Sarah Darling is most notable for her sweet melodic blues and folks country voice, deep down though is the voice of a woman coming into her own and inspiring those around her. Her optimistic, positive charm is truly refreshing among the sea of talent Nashville carries. During her 30 minute Stage It show Tuesday evening Darling previewed new material coming from her untitled brand new album to be released in the spring of 2016.  Engineering the project, Vance Powell who had a hand at engineering Chris Stapleton's critically acclaimed Traveller. Expect to hear the real Sarah Darling, her love of Paris, day dreaming, her whimsy charm, faith and grace combined. The inner strength Darling possess comes across not on musicality, on her faith as a songwriter, musician and artistry. Songs Sarah previewed for viewers were a combination of angelic wishing on dreams and stars from her opening performance of "Wish Upon A Wondering Star" to the  songs "Starry Eyes" and "Haley's Comet" all which have a common thread.  Her most touching performance on a personal note for me, "Anchor" written by song writer Tyler Flowers.  On a more country note, previewed a country inspired track titled "Cowboys Ride" and among it threw in a song with some angst. Previous albums Darling has released doesn't touch the material that will cover the new album. Each one of Darling's albums have a little of her in all the material combined, it is this though that will be all her, who she is. What separates Sarah from the rest, her fellow country music peers, she stands behind her integrity and appreciates what's given to her and along the way enjoys the adventure.

Leah Turner Launches Debut EP with Stage It Show

Credit to: Sony Music Nashville/ Columbia
Rising new comer Leah Turner has been dreaming of this day for so long, her brand new self titled EP was released Tuesday May 6th and in support of the release Turner took to social media network,  Stage It for a 50 minute set performing songs from the EP. "Make Your Move" the first of those performed sure had it's high's and low's, the power Turner convicts in her vocals may come off as a scream fest, though deep down is the soul of a beast untamed, the grit and raspy tune has fire and flare fans certainly relate to. In between performances fans asked Turner questions, one fan asked Who were your musical influences growing up? " I listened to a number of artists from Tricia Yearwood, Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, I have so many musical influences, I listened to a lot of gospel as well." she told fans.
"This is great, I get to live my dream." she proclaimed.
Performing "Beat Up Bronco" a ballad from the EP conveys conviction in Leah's raspy vocals, showcasing her vulnerability and melodic, harmonizing voice. The voice matches the person, Leah remembers growing up in California, "I'm a country California girl, I remember riding around with dad in his diesel pick up truck", she says to viewers.A fellow fan also named Leah proclaims My parents are yelling at me to get to bed, will you play "Pull Me Back"? As bummed as the fan was Leah performs the requested fan song and felt bad for Leah (the fan) had to leave for the night. "good name by the way Leah", she tells her fan. "Pull Me Back" Leah's follow up and newly released single from "Take The Keys" talks of heartbreak and moving on, the passion in Turner's vocals spark. Some fan questions of the evening where on songwriting and the songwriters Leah works with Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe who she co-wrote with on all tracks of the EP to working with Hilary Lindsey who's written for Carrie Underwood. Leah's guitarist and band mate Beck wrote  "Blue Water" in which she sings back round on. The songs summer time vibe's hook will catch you in a good mood, it's a sure feel good song, one performed of the evening. "Paradise Park" was an added song through out the Stage It show also written by Beck. The songs trailer park anthem is a sure fire hit to my ears and any country side homie would listen to. The songs kept on coming and went way past the encore performance of "Take The Keys" a top 40 hit for Turner. Much past the encore Leah talks saying "Okay folks, anyone under 18 may want to leave the room", she chuckles. Pulling out a drink with band mate Beck. It was during the last performance those who stayed for didn't catch the title or it was possible everyone was feeling tired at that point. Never the less, Turner's 50 minute Stage It show didn't disappoint who left fans satisfied. The night's Stage It Show was partnered by Leah and CMA.

Expect to keep an eye on Rising artist Leah Turner throughout 2014 as she joins Brad Paisley on tour this summer.

Photography Rights Reserved: Country Music City Promotions
Online Rights Reserved: Stage It

Wednesday August 21,2013 Sarah Darling performed to a sold out online show for fans on the number one concert venue Stage It.  The down to earth musical prodigy brought fans a number of cover songs from Stevie Nicks' "Thunder Only Happens When It Rains" and "Landslide", Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and John Waite "I Ain't Missing You At All".
Sarah was absolutely genuine, excited to hear from fans, what they wanted to hear, Darling delivered with  "Home To Me" and  her  new single "Little Umbrellas".
Darling began the night's show with a brand new song titled "Wasted", the drinking song was a different change of pace for Sarah and as surprising as it was, left me quite impressed. The melodic sound hooked right on, it could very well be a run away hit on country radio today. Take a listen and let me know what you think of "Wasted".

What could be more appealing to the ears, Sarah's own material "Old T-Shirt to "The End Of The World Tonight" and "You Don't Have To Be Lonely". It wouldn't be Darling fashion without  Sarah giving much love to the fans, wanting to hear from them and all of them gave well deserved tips and they did tip well, the top 5 tippers would receive some nice prizes and all tippers of the night would receive the remix version of "Little Umbrellas". In the 40 minute show Sarah Darling sure didn't disappoint, the fans were only wanting more, Sarah tells them "We'll have to do this again sometime", and thanked the highest tippers for their support and for everyone coming online for the show, sending them blessings and a good week ahead.

Sarah Darling couldn't be more darling and gracious, her appeal to country music fans and her most loyal fan base come by the groves. Darling will be around for years to come.

Sunny Sweeney Gives StageIt Shows New Meaning: Live Recap 8-5-13

Where there is Sunny Sweeney there is a whole lot of laughs and good times. During Monday night's monthly StageIt show Sunny discusses the new album, gives fans a behind the scenes look and fan request performances from "Carolina", "Amy", "Drink Myself Single",  and Staying Is Worse Than Leaving". Sweeney and her band mates Joanna and Jake along with studio and crew were well on deck though you could hear the crew from beyond the camera, at one point Sunny moves the camera screen to zoom in on the faces of the crew, nice looking group I must say. The studio Sunny is currently recording in has been used from other names in country music. Watch the video here to find out who's recorded in the studio.

The night's top 3 tippers we're well in for a treat, a surprise from Sunny herself. The money raised in tips will be donated to benefit Camp C.O.P.E a non-profit organization located in Dallas, Texas.
About Camp COPE, this is their story

Fans came in to Stage It from New York, Dripping Springs, TX to surrounding towns and areas in Texas and Ohio. The versatility and variety of the 35 minute show proved to be a party, Sunny's first performance to start it off "Used Cars" a brand new song that may end up as a track on the new album. Fans loved this love song and the only love song Sunny proclaimed, announced.
Questions from the fans were flying by the groves, one question directed was in fact what the title of the album will be, unfortunately this was a question Sunny wanted to answer however advised to keep secret. Fans will have to wait on the answer for awhile. Many other song requests flew in and one request was "Mama Tried" from icon and legend Merle Haggard.  Sunny's southern twang was tride and true on the cover song.
Many wanted to hear a Radney Foster song, however, Sunny didn't know the song that is when she mentioned Radney and Sunny wrote together "Staying Is Worse Than Leaving". Songwriters are the key essential in success of a song and Staying Is Worse Than Leaving is a true success. The last song request of the evening " LaDeDa" which fans heard the first time in July's StageIt show. Sunny wrote this catchy song with the Warren Brothers who've had numerous success with artists Toby Keith, Casey James, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Little Big Town and many others. Sunny's evening was just getting started as she continues to work endless hours in the studio to record for the new album.
It is always well worth the time spent with Sweeney, you never know what she will say or do.

Jana Kramer Brings Her Flare To Online STAGE IT Show: The Live Recap

In her first live online Stage It show Jana Kramer brought laughter and harmony and band member guitarist Jesse Tripplett  on Monday night's July 15,2013 Stage It show. Kramer performed numerous songs from her self titled debut album including new songs that will appear on her sophomore album coming early next year. Jana's delightful laugh, clowning around and bringing in her soon to be hubby and country rocker Brantley Gilbert. Jana encouraged fans to tip 5000 points to see Brantley and only one fan did, fan, friend and Jana follower Kenny was the night's biggest tipper of 5000, that is pure devotion. Fans requested out of the gates at the start of the show "Whiskey", this country favorite has the country flavor and flare. Kramer was absolutely excited for this first time Stage It show she could barely contain herself. One song in particular however I wasn't familiar with and also a fan request "When Your Lonely". Among the highlights, improv singing of the Nation Wide Insurance jingle from Jesse, Deniece Williams"Let's Hear It For The Boy" and Sheryl Crow's "All I Wanna Do".  The laughter kept on rolling on from the 45 minute show, yes, it went past the encore performance, Kramer is much on the go and it sure shows. For One Tree Hill fans Kramer performed " I Don't Give Up", yet again another song I'm not so familiar with. Performing an acoustic version of "California" was simply flawless, Kramer's vocals clearly shine. From new material Jana performed "That's Hot", this summer time song will get any fan in the summer time mood, the rowdy yet catchy lyrics will having you singing along in no time at all. The sweet yet sassy "Darlin" also new showcases Kramer's playful side with lots of attitude. Unfortunately one song Jana wanted to performed wasn't allowed from Stage It due to it's content, that is understandable. Wrapping it up for the night's show Encore's of "Why Ya Wanna" and the brand new single released "I Hope It Rains", as the happy go lucky, yet spunky Kramer jumps through out performance of "I Hope It Rains". Kramer thanked her fans blowing them a kiss and to request and vote for "I Hope It Rains", the video's release to +CMT  today.
Jana Kramer sure has a whole lot of country in her in all that she sings, it's contemporary, sassy and just plain good ole fun.

Doug Briney Live Stage It Show Recap

Photo taken and courtesy of Shellie of Country Music City Promotions

Doug Briney is far from your typical country music artist, Briney preaches a whole different tune and in Sunday night's June 30th Stage It show Briney delighted once again with his thirty minute Fathers and Freedom show. Those who missed the show Doug performed new material that is set to be included on his debut album under Tate Music Group. The first single release to come from the album " Money The Gun and The Bible" is Briney at his best without steering too far from his Christian roots. I must say what you get from Doug is surely a relaxed comfortable feeling, that easy feeling will touch you deeply. Briney  may not be as familiar as today's most traditional country artists though has made a name for himself independently over the past couple of years who's previous material "It's All Country" and "More Than A Farm To Me" set the standards of traditional country music, with a now new approach Doug and his family made the move from the snow banks of Anchorage, Alaska to Nashville who's still adjusting temperature wise and continuing to settle in, in a little at a time. Nashville couldn't look better on Doug as he steers ahead on his debut titled Super Country Cowboy, a release date is yet to be announced. One of several songs performed during the Stage It show was in fact the title track "Super Country Cowboy", rhythmically the song has it's moments and is quite different from the country crossover material being played in country radio today. The cover song that was specifically chosen to make the list on  Briney's debut album Brooks and Dunn's "Believe", Doug's passion, heart and vocal conviction is breath takenly refresh to the ears and fans will enjoy this cover as much as I do. A personal favorite of mine is "Unknown Solider" which Doug performed on his very first Stage It show a month earlier. The song's powerful message reminds us of our sacrificing men and women who fight for our country, as once a marine, army, or navy veteran always one, that is surely coming from my own experience as the daughter of a marine veteran. Other songs performed during the show, "The Choices You Make", "Feels Like Summer", and  "I Get To" all which showcase Doug's growth musically and vocally. Briney has come a long way and I'ms sure to it to continue to root for him all the way. Country is country no matter how you look at it.

Sunny Sweeney Live Stage It Show Recap

Photo taken and courtesy of Shellie of Country Music City Promotions

From the get go Sunny Sweeney is merely Texan born and bred, her quirky charm, sense of humor and real honest to goodness personality is what it is. On Monday's July 1st Stage It show Sweeney drinks it up and hams it up, along with her fellow musician friends and what a team they are together, musically and personally.  Much of the 35/40 minute show would and could have continued on, with the powers that be, it ended. Fans heard new material that will make it to the newest album, from the ever catchy, happy go lucky "La De Da" to the feisty, yet kickin' it "Raise Your Glass". Sweeney also performed from fan requests, "Amy" was one of them, a much personal favorite of mine. Discussing the new album was a personal highlight, there is simply no limit to Sunny's writing ability to those she has worked with and working with. The laughter was loudly contagious along with their funny antics and  a special appearance from her sock monkey, what a cutie! The most exciting moment was informing fans of a very special cause in support of Muscular Dystrophy in which all tips made by you the fans through the Stage It show would go directly to The Muscular Dystrophy Association. Top tippers would receive a t-shirt and goodie bag, the highest tipper would receive a phone call from Sunny herself. Sweeney excitedly then made the announcement she's under a new record deal and will own the rights completely, that is business savvy. "It's going to be amazing", she proclaimed.  Where there is Sunny the sun always shines and you'll have a good time, which she and her team had a good time performing not only songs from her first  album to Concrete and as well newer material. Sweeney's continued drive and musical chops have proved you can make it in country music and we'll only hear more from Sunny in years to come. Other song or songs performed during the show, Still On The Line (new) and East Texas Pines.

Alaskan Country Artist Doug Briney Gives Tribute To Our Military and Unsung Hero's StageIt Show

On Sunday May 26,2013 Alaskan cowboy, independent country artist Doug Briney gave an online show in honor of our military and unsung hero's. The effect Briney left on me was pure heart and emotion and by request performed Toby Keith's "American Solider" among songs from Tim McGraw, Jamey Johnson, and Brooks and Dunn. Included in the 30 minute show performed a few new tunes that made the cut on his Tate Music Group debut album coming soon. "Unknown Solider", "Pretty Big Deal", and The Money The Gun and The Bible" all which have a much edgier feel, though not steering too far from his country roots. Briney delighted on each song only wanting me to hear more. Fortunately I will have to wait for the debut release and you'll hear it first announced, to be announced. Doug's unwavering love and dedication to our military and unsung hero's only made me more appreciative,as my own dad is a Veteran himself. Doug's story to perform Jamey Johnson's "In Color" was truly a beautiful one,as Doug's grandfather spent time in World War II as a supply clerk, to this day Doug still has his grandfather's black and white photos during the times spent in WWII. Anyone who is effected appreciates the sacrifices our men and women do for our country and continue to do. Briney's news of relocating to Nashville came to a great surprise during the show and is looking forward to the journey.I only wish Doug continued success in his career I'm completely awe inspired by Briney's good heart and tender voice, it will get him far. Every $1.00 in sales from this show went to Veteran's charities and I'm so appreciative of such a great cause and giving to our military and troops, every one of them are our unsung hero's. Doug was happy to announce he will in fact schedule a new StageIt show in late June. Honestly, we need a little more country, after all the country we hear today has the cross over appeal, Briney sticks to his roots even if it does push the boundaries a little. Doug Briney's Songs For The Unsung Hero's was captivating, many blessings to Doug, his family and to all the families missing loved one's who are currently serving our country.

Many Blessings This Memorial Day........
