Lucy Hale Announces New Single "Lie A Little Better" At Debut Opry Performance

Lucy Hale rising female country star in the making made her official +Grand Ole Opry appearance Saturday June 21st who was so excited tweeted all weekend about the event and new milestone in her growing career on social media. It was there Hale announced to audiences of her new single "Lie A Little Better" to nationally debut on Good Morning America Monday June 30th. Her debut album Road Between released earlier this month charted high on Billboard making her the new it girl of country music. What is next for the budding star? Hale is currently on a radio tour visiting stations across the country, getting  music out to fans . "Lie A Little Bit Better" will impact radio  July 21st, a video to the song was filmed over the weekend at the Opry House and will give fans an intimate backstage view of the legendary stage, home to countless historical moments in Country Music. The uptempo track marks the second single and follow up to "Sounds Good To Me" from the album out now.

Lucy Hale Sums It Up During Country Music Chat with Jessica Northey

Pretty Little Liars star, rising country star of 2014 Lucy Hale was so well received during her first live twitter chat via Country Music Chat Monday Jan 6th was hard to stay a float through the hour long chat. CMchat Q1:  You actually got your start on reality TV singing show  American Juniors, how did you end up acting?
Lucy:  Being someone that's creative, I'm always looking for different outlets acting was a surprise interest along the way.

CMchat Q2:  What made you choose country music?
Lucy: It's what I grew up listening to, it's majority of what I listen to now. It felt genuine and felt like home.

CMchat Q3: When your not singing, acting, performing what do you like to spend your free time doing?
Lucy: I'm teaching myself to relax, reading, lounging, etc.

CMchat Q4: What have you learned from acting that you use for music?
Lucy: You have to tell a story or evoke an emotion when singing a song.

CMchat Q5: What have you had to "unlearn" from acting when singing/performing?
Lucy: It's nice to get to finally be myself. I don't have to hide behind a character, wardrobe or dialogue.

CMchat Q6: What is something you've always wanted to try but haven't?
Lucy: I'm not extremely spontaneous, so maybe sky diving... MAYBE!

Q7: What other singer/musicians inspire you and why?
Lucy: Cool thing about music is that you can find inspiration from anyone.

CMchat Q8: Do you have any hidden talents?
Lucy: I can shoot a bow and arrow pretty well and I can do a 3 leaf clover with my tongue.

CMchat Q9: What is your long term goal with country music?
Lucy: When I started this journey It was never for a hit single or one awesome album. I wanted it to be a lifetime thing.

CMchat Q10: What can fans expect to hear on your debut album?
Lucy: True sense of who I am, what I stand for, and a lot of fun. I wanted it to feel like a good time.

CMchat Q11: What is the best advice anyone has given you about country music and who was it?
Lucy: Simply to just be myself.

During the winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars on the ABC Family channel at 8 pm EST will world premiere the video to the single, following immediately after the winter premiere fans can stream the video on VEVO. Lucy Hale Confirms Release Date For New Single

She may be a country new comer though Lucy Hale has been performing since the age of 12, from early on Hale knew what she wanted to do, with a successful career in front of television audiences as Aria Montgomery from the ABC Family hit drama Pretty Little Liars Hale is ready, currently crossing the country on her first radio tour and rising star showcases Lucy Hale reveals tracks from her debut album "Goodbye Gone", "Kiss Me", "From The Backseat", "Nervous Girl" and "You Sound Good To Me". Sounds good to me, and coming from Hale she'll make the transition from television actress to country music star with the luck of her loyal fan base already in tact. The announcement of her new single "You Sound Good To Me" was talked about at the 94.9 FM WQMX Rising Star Showcase just last month and now it's confirmed "You Sound Good To Me" is set to be released January 7,2014 with it's album to follow. WQMX 94.9 FM Rising Star Show Case Featuring Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale is best known for her character Aria Montgomery on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars , though deep down she's an artist ready to bring her music to fans. Hale was raised in southern Tennessee, that are her roots. From an early age Lucy knew herself what she wanted out of life and it was performing, her first televised appearance was the NBC competition American Juniors in 2003, though music was put on the back burner acting gigs came pouring in. Hale became well known in Hollywood. Now with country music beckoning Hale will release her debut album in 2014. Her first single  "Sounds Good To Me" will arrive in January, the radio friendly uptempo vibe will surely have fans submitting  requests. On Thursday night  November 21st Hale was welcomed to Legends Bar and Grill in Green, Ohio sponsored by WQMX 94.9FM Akron's Country. Hale's fans came out from the wood work and were well lined up almost filling the venue's capacity. The warm welcome was truly unexpected by Hale who was deeply thrilled and humbled. In the 30 minute set Lucy performed songs from her debut album including her first single "Sounds Good To Me", "Goodbye Gone", "Kiss Me", "From The Backseat" and "Nervous Girl" introduces Hale as a brand new rising star. Hale explains the story behind "Nervous Girl", "girls are so hard on each other, when they should be supporting each other", she says. "This is that song". The ever talkative Lucy connects to her generation and from her legion of fans who are most girls, young women her age Lucy is equipped to handle the responsibility to be a good example, representing herself as who she is. Hale made sure of the night to be focused on the fans who attended. Gracious, sincere Lucy thanked Legends and bistro for the night's showcase including  WQMX  and it's staff. "This is a new chapter in my life", she says. "Thank you all, I feel most vulnerable and unguarded connecting with you on this level because of country music, it tells such amazing stories".  Hale is excited in this journey of her life connecting with her fans, meeting new fans and growing a fan base and she's off on an excellent star.
