Country Music Reigns The Grammy's

Of all award shows the Grammy's bring out the best of the best or the worst of the worst in all music genre's, so who sparkled and fizzled at the 56th annual Grammy Awards Sunday January 26th? Country music pulled the reigns,  the nights best performances came from country music itself, Keith Urban performing his newest single "Cop Car", Taylor Swift's performance of "All Too Well" received a standing ovation that left me applauding the young star, Swift's on stage presence and conviction was inviting to watch.  Icon country stars Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard and Blake Shelton giving audiences a traditional collaboration of "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" and "Okie From Muskokie". Miranda Lambert and Billy Joel Armstrong paid tribute to the late Phil Everly who passed earlier this past year performing "When Will I Be Loved". The big highlight came from Kacey Musgraves who gave a performance so proud country music is singing on.
Hunter Hayes may have just entered new territory performing a brand new song anyone of any age can relate to. The hits and misses of the Grammy's might have been a blur if you didn't catch them in the 3 hour live telecast.
The nights winners surprised me in more ways than any other predictable awards show. I can honestly say have never heard of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis who were the night's top winners, among "Royals" singer Lorde. Country music saved the Grammy's this year. Thank you Country music!

What you might have missed from the 54th Annual Grammy awards would have had jaws dropping or maybe not. To sum it up in these words, country music did reign the show. Country Legend and icon Glenn Campbell took to the stage in what would be his last television appearance due to Alzhiemer's which he was diagnoised with last year. The Band Perry and Blake Shelton made the tribute performance a memorable moment for Glenn, one of the biggest highlights of the night, it left the crowd in a standing ovation. Taylor Swift took to the stage to perform her mega hit "Mean" which won for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song, while Lady Antebellum's album "Own The Night" won for Best Country Album. Newcomers The Civil Wars were the night's biggest surprise winning for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album for "Barton Hollow". Young Country

Young country is all over radio airwaves these days and we like to thank Taylor Swift for inspiring young girls and boys all over the world for it. Not so long ago Lauren Alania was just a young
15 yr.old ready to start high school but that all changed once she opened those American Idol doors and well, we can say the rest is history;wait right there, Alaina was thrust into the limelight fast on her American Idol journey just over a year ago. Since those days have past Lauren Alaina released her debut album "Wildflower" and two hit singles "Like My Mother Does" and "Georgia Peaches". Lauren has been seen all over promoting her debut album while still finishing high school, that's a lot to handle for a 17 yr.old. With the guided advice from Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, Lauren Alania is keeping her head up. What's next for Lauren Alania, well I know for sure she'll be graduating high school while touring with Jason Aldean on his My Kinda Party 2012 tour. Want to see Lauren on tour this year, you can visit Ticketmaster and Lauren's official web site for dates Lauren Alaina Official Web Site
19 year old Katie Armiger is no stranger on the stage,Armiger was just 16 when she got her start in country music and since then has released 3 albums, I can say from word of mouth Armiger is down right easy going and super friendly, the sweetest ever songstress of hit's such as "Leaving Home", "Best Days Ever", "Scream" and "Kisse Me Now" actually got her start through myspace, myspace launched Armiger's career. Katie knew early on what it would take and although it's been a slow steady rise she's handled the transition well. For more on Katie Armiger visit her official web site right here, Katie Armiger

Country's Women of 2011

What do Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have in common? These three ladies of country music have had a big year in 2011. Despite being out the spotlight for most of 2011, Carrie Underwood still sparkled on red carpet arrivals for many events and impressed fans on the collaborative efforts on Brad Paisley's latest album with the song "Remind Me"sending heatwaves through radio airplay being the most played song of 2011 and if that wasn't enough Carrie can add most beautiful to the list, making her Country's Most Beautiful Woman, and that's not all word has it Carrie has finished recording her 4th studio album and is expected for a 2012 release.
Miranda Lambert is on fire these days and what a year it's been, she's country music's reigning CMA Female Vocalist, Miranda even partnered with good friends Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley; the trio is better known as the Pistol Annies. The Annies debuted their album and went number 1 in it's first week release. Better yet Miranda tied the knot to the one and only Blake Shelton. This duo is the "IT"couple of country music these days, fans can't get enough of Miranda and Blake, and for the record Miranda released her 4th studio released album "Four The Record". I'd say Lambert-Shelton has a lot to be smiling about these days.
The unstoppable Taylor Swift made the books in 2011 as Entertainer of The Year and Billboard's Artist of the Year what a feat for the 22 yr.old. Swift toured the world relentlessly giving back to the fans and giving what she gives best, an electrifying performance every night to sold out crowds. That is not all, Taylor began writing for her next album throughout the crazy year of touring, which Swift is describing and hinting to fans as her most personal to date. Miss Swift is truly evolving into a beautiful woman before our eyes and ears, as we once remember Taylor's first #1 hit "Tim McGraw" in 2006.
Miranda, Carrie and Taylor will splash into 2012 on a big note and fans of these ladies will want to catch all the action.

The Year In Country Music 2011

As we come to a close on 2011 let's look back on what was the best year ever in country music. Jason Aldean is rising to country music fame, but don't let that fool you, the My Kinda Party artist is soaking in what was the best year ever for him, his family and band. Winner of CMA's album of the year and musicial event of the year and ACA winner of album of the year. The party is just getting started, Aldean will ring in the new year on his first headling tour.2012 will prove to be another fantastic year for Jason Aldean and fans. Let's get the party started!

Taylor Swift keeps breaking charts and breaking hearts, not figurativly speaking. Swift still shows us how to run a business, this savy business woman released her own fragrance Wonderstruck, toured the world and still manages to keep a level head through it all. It's no wonder she's CMA's entertainer of the year and Billboards Artist of the year. This birthday girl will have a lot to celebrate on her 22nd birthday December 13th. In 2012 Ms. Swift will bring new music to her fans and has recently released a new song titled "Ours", a video for the song has recently been released to all major outlets. Taylor is all smiles these days.

Kellie Pickler, she's caught the eye of many and it shows, the recent newlywed, Mrs. Jacobs has been on the radar on many Christmas specials this holiday season and landed a role on the CW's 90210.
Picker-Jacobs is releasing her highly anticipated 3rd album January 24,2012 "100 Proof" and 2012 will be the year of the pickle. Pickler has toured 4 years with service of the USO, she is highly active and will surely make plans to ring in the new year with yet another tour overseas for our military men and women. For any updates and information on Kellie Pickler visist her official web site at The Official Kellie Pickler site and at Kellie Pickler Fans Site & Forum

Faith Hill is ready to make it back into country music after 6 years, the new single "Come Home" was released just this past November, fans can currently download the song on i-tunes. Hill will have new music and a new album to hit shelves in mid 2012. Lots of faith to come for all.

Rising star Sunny Sweeney has shown us the Texas honky tonker she is. Her debut album "Concrete" recieved rave reviews this year and is becoming a fast rising album in country music unless Scotty McCreey teen crazed fans pass it by.Not a chance, there's a lot of sun in Sunny's corner.

Rodney Atkins has found the beaten path in his career, the take the back road artist has flourshed musically and artistically in 2011. Atkins' music has speaken volumes to his fans, Farmer's Daughter, If Your Going Through Hell and Take The Back Road have all made an impact on those who follow the artist and his music.

Martina McBride and pro-active Breast Cancer Supporter released her 11th studio recorded album this year, she's been an embassador and leader for many beyond her music. Her voice is powerful for so much more. That true sense of self truly shows.

All of these artists and more, one I would not leave out, Toby Keith, the Red Solo Cup USO supporter and musician has paved the wave throughout the years. Keith is very much so our country music artist of the decade.

Happy Thanksgiving

****HAPPY THANKSGIVING****
It's a day of thanks, being grateful and feeling blessed and yeah! a huge feast until you fall asleep watching football in your recliner. Black Friday sales start early, stores opening their doors before midnight for those off the wall deals. As I see things holidays are much more materialized than in past year's. Where are the traditions ,the family times together?, this is what the  holidays are really about, what Jesus has done for us,feeling and being thankful for the love we have in our hearts and filling our spirits with joy and excitement. I've taken the time to really let things soak in and embrace Thanksgiving, giving my love to those who've made an impact and have inspired me, I'm grateful and ever thankful. I'v recently witnessed great love expressed on twitter from the hig hearted and loveable LeAnn Rhimes, her love is truly shown in her wonderful family togetherness, it is simply beautiful. Also, great love from the lovely young lady Taylor Swift, I adore them both. Others who capture my heart, those wonderful Rascal Flatts men, Gary, Jay and Joe Don. The spirited Kellie Pickler and Lauren Alania; what a delight. I could go on for hours how down to earth and easy going these individuals are. Stop by at Twitter and send some love to all.

Taylor Swift Soaring Butterfly

It's highly unlikely Taylor Swift will be slowing down any time soon. This young, vibrant most sought after country music darling keeps on shining, in previous weeks Miss Swift was named entertainer of the year and recently crowned artist of the year. With a fragance line, hallmark deal, the face of Cover Girl among her music career much more is in store for Taylor. In 2012 Taylor will come animated in the animated film The Lorax and will begin on a new album. Taylor Swift is a savy buisness woman with the right balance of normalcy it's not wonder people are inspired by her and not only from her country music peers, the general public love this girl and how can you not? Taylor Swift will continue to shine in all avenues of life. Taylor is the exception to the rule, you can never be too young or too old to rock out, live free.
