America's best-loved brands and Craig Morgan have teamed up through out the month of June to commit to our military  our serving troops overseas. Up to fifty thousand free Moon Pie marshmallow sandwiches will be sent to our soldiers over the coming months. Morgan kicked off the campaign by giving free Moon Pies to soldiers and their families who have come out for his CMA Artist of the Day program at CMA Music Festival in Nashville,TN this week.
Morgan, a former solider will be featured on over 250K 8-count chocolate double-decker Moon Pie boxes on grocery shelves across the nation. The carton's will depict Morgan's likeness, recap his long-standing commitment to our troops, and list a website where fans of the tasty treat can send a free "Thank You" Moon Pie to our American hero's serving aboard.
Morgan has recently returned from Afghanistan and his eleventh overseas tour for our troops. His bags were not only stuffed with gear for his live shows but also  Moon Pies for the soldiers serving overseas, making the singer's visit that much sweeter.
"It's always great to perform for our troops stationed overseas, but this time we got to bring them another piece of home", shared Morgan. "The men and women in uniform loved the familiar taste of the chocolate Moon Pies!"
"Long known as 'the American workman's lunch,' Moon Pie is excited to offer this small treat of appreciation to our hard working troops", shared Troy Johnston, V.P of Marketing for Moon Pie. "We hope it brings a grin and stirs a happy memory from home. And as a veteran and long-time supporter of our troops, Craig Morgan is the ideal partner to help Moon Pie engage our terrific fans in supporting our American hero's."

The time you take out of your day to remember our serving men and women past and present carries on. We are America, stand up for our military and troops who haven't seen home in months or even years. Some do come home and others find another home. Moms and dads, siblings, aunts and uncles and even cousins fight for our country. Be there for them this Memorial Day there just a call away or a note or message away to tell them how proud you are of them doing what they do for our country, that is Memorial Day. Those who are long gone never forget, they are our unsung hero's.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Memorial Day.

Country Music City Promotions Veterans Day Message

Throughout the years men and women brave the impossible, put their lives on the line for our country. Many never make it back home and those who do live with the outcome of war. Every sacrifice they make is rewarded though in reality it always isn't, they fight to be heard. On this Veteran's day thank a Vet for their service. They are our unsung hero's.

To our military and troops I pray for them and pray they come back home to their families. To our hospitalized veterans, wounded warriors they remain in my heart.

God Bless all our Veterans,
Shellie Palmer from Country Music City Promotions.

Labor Day A Message Of Freedom

  ~*~Labor Day Message ~*~

Though we're coming to the end of summer, kids going back to school, mom and dad packing lunches, heading off to work. There is something to always remember the people who shape our lives, those who leave an impact and inspire us, to those who are our every day hero's.
On this Labor Day when you're celebrating with family and friends remember who laid their lives on the line for us, the sacrifices they make to keep our country still free.
Our soldiers, troops, veterans and military depend on us to remember them.
Their labor of love isn't free, we can help them be free and come home where they belong.
We can do so much as a country, together make a huge impact.

Visit the USO, Help Hospitalized Veterans, Wounded Warriors Project in how you can get involved and make them feel free this Labor Day.

Alaskan Country Artist Doug Briney Gives Tribute To Our Military and Unsung Hero's StageIt Show

On Sunday May 26,2013 Alaskan cowboy, independent country artist Doug Briney gave an online show in honor of our military and unsung hero's. The effect Briney left on me was pure heart and emotion and by request performed Toby Keith's "American Solider" among songs from Tim McGraw, Jamey Johnson, and Brooks and Dunn. Included in the 30 minute show performed a few new tunes that made the cut on his Tate Music Group debut album coming soon. "Unknown Solider", "Pretty Big Deal", and The Money The Gun and The Bible" all which have a much edgier feel, though not steering too far from his country roots. Briney delighted on each song only wanting me to hear more. Fortunately I will have to wait for the debut release and you'll hear it first announced, to be announced. Doug's unwavering love and dedication to our military and unsung hero's only made me more appreciative,as my own dad is a Veteran himself. Doug's story to perform Jamey Johnson's "In Color" was truly a beautiful one,as Doug's grandfather spent time in World War II as a supply clerk, to this day Doug still has his grandfather's black and white photos during the times spent in WWII. Anyone who is effected appreciates the sacrifices our men and women do for our country and continue to do. Briney's news of relocating to Nashville came to a great surprise during the show and is looking forward to the journey.I only wish Doug continued success in his career I'm completely awe inspired by Briney's good heart and tender voice, it will get him far. Every $1.00 in sales from this show went to Veteran's charities and I'm so appreciative of such a great cause and giving to our military and troops, every one of them are our unsung hero's. Doug was happy to announce he will in fact schedule a new StageIt show in late June. Honestly, we need a little more country, after all the country we hear today has the cross over appeal, Briney sticks to his roots even if it does push the boundaries a little. Doug Briney's Songs For The Unsung Hero's was captivating, many blessings to Doug, his family and to all the families missing loved one's who are currently serving our country.

Many Blessings This Memorial Day........

North East Ohio Foundation of Patriotism Craig Morgan Charity Concert

On Friday May 3,2013 the North East Ohio community came together to raise more than $7,000 for the North East Ohio Foundation of Patriotism for our serving and non serving military in part of the 94.9FM WQMX Your Station! Your Country! charity concert series. Fellow veteran and country artist Craig Morgan and more than 170 fans gathered at the Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, Ohio  that day to support our troops and military. The continuing support and effortless Patriotism Morgan displays shines and as for myself  continue to do my part to support our military and troops. As little as five dollars or even ten dollar donations to support our troops, serving, non serving, hospitalized and paralyzed veterans makes a difference. 94.9 radio personality Ken Steele presented the $7,795.00 over sized check to the fellow Marines and Army officials who attended.

Fans were overly pumped for the night's entertainment coming from Morgan himself who performed more of his most popular single songs to date from "International Harvester", "That's What I Love About Sundays", "This Ain't Nothing" "Little Bit of Life", "Red Neck Yacht Club" "This Ole Boy" and to his current single on radio now "More Trucks Than Cars". Of the hour long acoustic show Morgan delivered performance after performance, fans were at a fever pitch high of excitement and would have to admit gave a few hollers myself. The highlights of the night's performances came from new material Craig is currently working on in Nashville. Craig explains " how many believe in our own right to own a weapon and the bible, trucks, and there is a lot of them out there tonight, well this is a song we were suppose to write with another guy and when we did sit down with him, well, he kept on telling us we were crazy, calling us crazy, this is the song "They Think We're Crazy", we wrote this song just for him". An up tempo country feel kind of song, talking bout bibles, trucks and a cold pack, this is one country song you'll feel right down to your toes. "They Think We're Crazy" surely fits the country music mold and fans would agree would make a great single song release to country radio. Morgan had yet one more new song to share with the crowd who wanted their opinion as he is considering it to be a new released single called "Wake Up Loving You". Craig's ballad rearing vocals were chilling to the bone on this love song, giving fans more reason to scream with excitement, I say we have a winner.

Though I left, the cheers we're loudly apparent fans wanted more, I await to hear Morgan giving his thank you's to everyone who came out for the evening to support a great cause. We all can make a difference.

Kellie Pickler Visit With Troops: USO Trip

Photo Courtesy of  U.S Department of Defense and USO

When most artists get in their vacation times during the holiday season Kellie Pickler makes her special USO tour and trip overseas, in her 6th tour Pickler expresses complete gratitude and appreciates the hard driven sacrifices our armed service men and women do for our country. Coming from a military family Kellie understands the meaning of being away from family at long periods at a time. For her continued loyal support Pickler doesn't take any ounce of this for granted and shows complete compassion in giving back. On thing for sure Kellie wears her heart on her sleeve or in some cases on the index of her left arm with 5 star tattoos that represent her time well spent with the troops in Afghanistan, Germany, Iraq, and Sudan among places. Kellie with husband and songwriter Kyle Jacobs and fellow musician Dave Baker made their trek a memorable one for our service men and women this Christmas season.
