The Songwriters

"It's all in a song, that one single note, the notes that touch our souls". - Shellie Palmer

Paper is our canvas to where the pen is our instrument, each and every one of us connect through a song, there are many songs, some are released as singles, those singles become hits, what you should know is how powerful lyrics are to a song. Behind the scene's music is happening, being created and crafted into a masterpiece, I call it pure magic. Feeling connected to an artist and their music is just a small fragment in the music world. It's the writers who bring authenticity and reality together, what they live through, what inspires them or simply having that feel good emotion. Those writers work hands on with an artist or artists, collaborations are born. I always look to what the story is behind a song,it's that one feature I get super excited about reading in Country Weekly Magazine.
Some of our most prolific songs are the most inspirational and relatable to us.
Rascal Flatts "I'm Moving On", "God Bless The Broken Road", "These Days", "What Hurts The Most", "I Won't Let Go" have been the most meaningful songs the Flatts and their
co-writers have created together. We truly connect on these songs, writer  Jason Sellers of "I Won't Let Go" was in the moment writing the song. I remember Jason telling readers in an issue of Country Weekly, the song is about being there for someone who's going through tough times, having that friend, spouse, parent, sibling, anyone who you will stand beside not letting go of them in their darkest time. I connected to the song emotionally having a friend who needed me during some tough times and him for me, It was that relateable. Songs make such an impact on a person's life,it's quite theraputic, emotionally and physcially freeing.  I always tell someone if you can't find the words right then and there and weighing on your heart write it out,it really is the best therapy and it's free of charge.  Leslie Satcher had Kellie Pickler right at mind when "Tough" came about.
"I ain't never been nothing but tough/All my edges have always been rough/ But Jesus loves me anyway". Yes, Kellie Pickler had a rough upbringing, matter of fact she love's Jesus and is rough around the edges, sometimes we have to be.
Recognizing the writers in the music industry have left me open minded and completely open hearted to continue the path in writing after all, writing is real art. It's a blessing to able to connect with you, country fans. Your all so incredible!

I like to take this time to recongize Dallas Davidson, Dean Dillion, Luke Laird, Colt Ford, Leslie Satcher, Jason Sellers, Brad and Brett Warren, Natalie Hemby, Brett James, Rhett Akins, Jeffrey Steele, Ben Hayslip, Jim Beavers, Brett Beavers,Jimmy Yeary, Sonya Issacs, Liz Rose, Aimee Mayo,Lee Brice, Kyle Jacobs,Kelley Lovelace, Chris DuBois, Wyatt Durrette, Holly Williams, and so many more who continue to bring music to life.

Luke Bryan Feels Like Spring Break

These days Luke Bryan is soaking up what has been like biscuits on gravy, smooth sailing along while on touring duties with fellow friend Georgia native Jason Aldean and the newest country act to come off from last year's Idol roster Lauren Alania on the My Kinda Party tour. Bryan's latest single release "Suntan City" comes from the newest spring break EP which is the fourth of spring break EP's released. This small town farm boy knows how to party like a college kid. Word is out Luke's next single to come from the Tailgates & Tanlines album will be "Drunk On You". Bryan's career at this point continues to shine and I plan to be there a long the way. Stay tunned here at Country Music City Promotions for the latest updates on Luke.

Country Music City Promotions Albums of 2011

Dolly Parton "Better Day"
Infused of traditional country music through and through from the prolific singer/songwriter. All 12 tracks were written by Parton, each song leaps off by bounds of joy, happiness and positivity. The album truly shows us Dolly Parton's true self. Each track specifically will have you listening wide open. The first track "In The Mean Time" makes the album what it is to it's powerful track and single "Together You & I". The iconic Parton is really all that and more on the track that best describes her best "Country Is As Country Does". There's a whole lot of country going on! Enjoy the ride!

Luke Bryan "Tailgates & Tanlines"
From the big hit "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)" to "I Don't Want This Night To End" , Tailgates & Tanlines" hits all the right notes giving this album real country flare and appeal. Luke Bryan's southern twang will have you're heart melting on tracks such as "I Knew You That Way" and "I Know You're Gonna Be There" giving you the tender, compassionate side of Luke Bryan. Other tracks on the album include "You Don't Know Jack" and "Harvest Time" that which describe Bryan as the most genuine down to earth guy who grew up in rurual Georgia.  Luke Bryan is no flash in the pan, he gives his fans his heart and it shows on "Taligates & Tanlines".

Sunny Sweeney "Concrete"
A force to be reckoned with, Sunny Sweeney, the raw and true gritty voice sums up this album. A new comer to the Nashville scene in 2011 came from Longview, Texas. The play hard work hard kind of gal has it going for herself and this album shows it from the first hit single "From A Table Away" to the latest single "Drink Myself Single". Sunny may be all sunshine and smiles, but don't let that fool you, this new country goddess is good as golden and is proven to stick around in country music.

Vince Gill "Guitar Slinger"
It's not country music without Vince Gill, the blues, country christian roots make the man, a true humanitarian. "Threaten Me With Heaven" will have you singing praises to the darkened trouble of "Billy Paul" in which Vince's youngest daughter joins in, in chorus. "The Lady Sings The Blues" is without a doubt contagious, infectous and just might have you singing the blues. The lead off track Guitar Slinger sets the album as Gill's biggest album to date. Vince Gill fans will fall in love all over again on this album. Music hasn't died and Vince Gill is still on the journey in over more than a decade in country music.

On her 11th studio album Martina McBride truly soars on "One Night" which opens the album beautifully, taking you on a romantic joyful ride to the most stiring life lessons which McBride is no stranger to. The hit single "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" is just that in which navigates those who deal and live with cancer. I'm a strong believer anyone can over achieve and survive the obstacles. In "Teenage Daughters" McBride describes best teenagers will be just teenagers in any scenario. The album doesn't stop there,on the track "Marry Me" featuring Train's Pat Monahan, man meets woman, it's that feeling of falling in love at first sight making you feel absolutely beautiful inside and out. Martina McBride isn't slowing down, and eleven proves to be her best album to date. The album will simply have you singing along without skipping a single track,it's that well produced musically, visually and artistically.
