From fellow artist and friend Sammy Kershaw stated on his Facebook page earlier in the month Randy Travis has developed pneumonia through out his recovery stay due to suffering from a stroke and heart trouble a month earlier.
Kershaw wrote this update on the page August 18th, "Olde friend Randy Travis needs our prayers. "Had a little setback this weekend". He has developed pneumonia". "Let's rock on for him".
Instantly Kershaw fans offered strong words of support and prayers for Randy during this time. Many prayers sent to Randy and his family through these challenges ahead.
Setbacks will prove strength throughout his recovery.
Representatives haven't confirmed on any further information at this time. The last health update from Randy's official website was to inform fans he'd been relocated to a physical therapy facility after 3 weeks spent at Baylor Heart in Plano, Texas.
All tour dates have been removed from his official touring schedule.
