The Heart of Country Music

Country music is at it's finest these days with the likes of Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean, to name a few  stars in country music, one thing for sure we can't count out those who made the waves early on when country music began. Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, June Carter,Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, even Loretta Lynn. There will never be a shortage from the country crop where as we're hearing from some great new comers on the country music scene, Sunny Sweeney has a real authenticity to her appeal, it very much so reminds me of her fellow counterpart Loretta Lynn; that southern twang is down right pleasurable. An album must have on my wish list this year.
Another talent making it bright on music row new comer Sonia Leigh who I'm reading up on,I'm  really diving in getting to know more on her. You never know who's going to appear or even to be mentioned  in Country Weekly Magazine. More so these days George Straight has appeared more on the cover than an artist to date. What's so fascinating about this man?, I ask myself this question often. The one and only answer, the songs, there well written. Any George Straight song ever heard I can pin point the one's I grew up listening to,"Check Yes Or No", "I Cross My Heart", and" All My Ex's Live In Texas"; by far though the one's I have truly fell in love with "River Of Love" and "I Saw God Today", icon, yes!! Country Weekly brings great taste of country music to my finger tips,it's no wonder I read from cover to cover. My true passion for country music, well, shall I say all music is my guilties pleasure.

In times like these everyone has the freedom to speak, and one man who doesn't hold back speaks rightfully true is country music legend Hank Williams Jr.,most recently talked about at Taste of Country. I really get it, don't throw me under the bus as I agree with Williams statement. Economic times are tough on everyone, people loosing jobs, let alone jobs are scarce. It is what it is.  "Are ya' ready for some football!!"  It's rightfully our's to be uncensored. You can read more on Hank Williams Jr. at tasteofcountry

Traditional Times

Real country music isn't in number one hits, it's pure and simple from the artists themselves, what defines them musically and artistically. The traditional sound of what was once the main core of country music is well alive again found in artists such as Dierks Bentley, Jamey Johnson, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Kellie Pickler, Danielle Peck, Billy Currington, Jake Owen, Randy Houser to name a few in today's saturated popped up country world. Country music is wide in variety these days, many would agree to disagree, everyone is entitled to their opinions. The days of Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Hank Williams Jr., Porter Wagner, Willie Nelson,Johnny Cash,Tom T. Hall, June Carter Cash,Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Lynn Anderson,Crystal Gale,Tanya Tucker, Dolly Parton still live on and within us, those traditional times are still here, and the place to get it, online; through out the endless social network. It's great to be a good ole boy and a coal miner's daughter. Kickin' back in you're rocking chair singing or humming along to "Rose Garden", "Your Cheatin Heart", "Harper Valley P.T.A" and other's is just down right enjoyable and remembering the days that were carefree. Whether you're purely into traditional country music or pop/country there's plenty to go around, there is simply no shortage in country music.

Kellie Pickler Highly Anticipated Album of The Year

Country music artist Kellie Pickler has been in and out of the studio for much of the past year or two now crafting new material for her highly anticipated new album to be released this fall. The new single "Tough" has been garnered as the real Kellie Pickler at this point in her career since her American Idol days and two previous albums that proved Pickler as a country artist and not a country bumpkin. Kellie is best known for her signature song "Red High Heels" & "I Wonder" the song she wrote about her estranged mother. Kellie has been on the touring circut for most of the year performing at fairs, festivals and casinos. Her sass and spunk on stage is electrifying, she will leave you with wanting more even in the rain. The newly married Pickler is making her acting debut this season on the remake of 90210 Tuesday October 18,2011 on the CW. Previously recorded albums "Small Town Girl" and the self titled "Kellie Pickler", the new album will be far from the country pop avenue and sound. The yet untitled new album is taking a traditional approach, Pickler has been giving fans a taste of what will appear on the album, songs such as "Stop Cheating On Me" "Where's Tammy Wynette When You Need Her"& "Rockaway". Kellie Pickler's die hard fanbase is waiting for the new album to hit store shelves. Word has it the "Tough" video has been made, and will be hitting the media market, the song itself has been well recieved on radio airplay. Keep on Picking Pickler!!
