We are America, stand up for our military and troops who haven't seen home in months or even years. Some do come home and others find another home. Moms and dads, siblings, aunts and uncles and even cousins fight for our country. Be there for them this Memorial Day there just a call away or a note or message away to tell them how proud you are of them doing what they do for our country, that is Memorial Day. Those who are long gone never forget, they are our unsung hero's.

Craig Morgan Cancels Appearance and Tour Dates Due To Recent Shoulder Surgery

Craig Morgan who was slated for an appearance on The Talk Monday May 19th has been cancelled due to recent shoulder surgery, recovery from a performed rotator cuff surgery has kept Craig from daily tasks,although expected for a full recovery, the lapse in recovery is keeping him sidelined including his current tour dates on The Journey tour. Rescheduled tour dates will be updated for fans here at Country Music City Promotions. Tune in Tuesday Night May 20th for ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops airing on CBS at 9 pm EST/8 pm CT  Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and more. Many prayers to Craig during his recovery.

Craig Morgan Enlists Celebrity Friends For 8th Annual Charity Event

Craig Morgan has recently announced the following motocross stars participating in this year's 8th Annual Craig Morgan Foundation charity event benefiting the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation Sunday July 20th.
Motocross stars Kevin Windham, Malcom Stewart, Destry Abbott, Fred Andrews, Randy Hawkins, Andrew Short and Larry Ward are all participating in the event.
Tickets for the July 20th star-studded concert and celebrity off-road trail ride, taking place in Craig's hometown of Dickson, Tenn are now on sale and can be purchased here

Leah Turner Launches Debut EP with Stage It Show

Rising new comer Leah Turner has been dreaming of this day for so long, her brand new self titled EP was released Tuesday May 6th and in support of the release Turner took to social media network,  Stage It for a 50 minute set performing songs from the EP. "Make Your Move" the first of those performed sure had it's high's and low's, the power Turner convicts in her vocals may come off as a scream fest, though deep down is the soul of a beast untamed, the grit and raspy tune has fire and flare fans certainly relate to. In between performances fans asked Turner questions, one fan asked Who were your musical influences growing up? " I listened to a number of artists from Tricia Yearwood, Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, I have so many musical influences, I listened to a lot of gospel as well." she told fans.
"This is great, I get to live my dream." she proclaimed.
Performing "Beat Up Bronco" a ballad from the EP conveys conviction in Leah's raspy vocals, showcasing her vulnerability and melodic, harmonizing voice. The voice matches the person, Leah remembers growing up in California, "I'm a country California girl, I remember riding around with dad in his diesel pick up truck", she says to viewers.A fellow fan also named Leah proclaims My parents are yelling at me to get to bed, will you play "Pull Me Back"? As bummed as the fan was Leah performs the requested fan song and felt bad for Leah (the fan) had to leave for the night. "good name by the way Leah", she tells her fan. "Pull Me Back" Leah's follow up and newly released single from "Take The Keys" talks of heartbreak and moving on, the passion in Turner's vocals spark. Some fan questions of the evening where on songwriting and the songwriters Leah works with Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe who she co-wrote with on all tracks of the EP to working with Hilary Lindsey who's written for Carrie Underwood. Leah's guitarist and band mate Beck wrote  "Blue Water" in which she sings back round on. The songs summer time vibe's hook will catch you in a good mood, it's a sure feel good song, one performed of the evening. "Paradise Park" was an added song through out the Stage It show also written by Beck. The songs trailer park anthem is a sure fire hit to my ears and any country side homie would listen to. The songs kept on coming and went way past the encore performance of "Take The Keys" a top 40 hit for Turner. Much past the encore Leah talks saying "Okay folks, anyone under 18 may want to leave the room", she chuckles. Pulling out a drink with band mate Beck. It was during the last performance those who stayed for didn't catch the title or it was possible everyone was feeling tired at that point. Never the less, Turner's 50 minute Stage It show didn't disappoint who left fans satisfied. The night's Stage It Show was partnered by Leah and CMA. 

Expect to keep an eye on Rising artist Leah Turner throughout 2014 as she joins Brad Paisley on tour this summer.

Craig Morgan has set the date, July 20,2014 for the 8th Annual Charity Event benefiting The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation.Craig's foundation goal is to raise funds to assist foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. In it's 8th year Morgan with the help of friends, motocross top celebrities and competitors and fellow country music friends will buckle up for a hair raising trails exhibition, a group trail ride and lunch, autograph session, silent craft auction and out door concert on the rolling lawn outside the War Memorial building in Dickson. This family-friendly event will kick off at 8 am Sunday, July 20th in Dickson, Tennessee. Both events are open to the public. The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation serves foster children of Dickson County and through out Middle Tennessee. Craig's continuing charitable mission is to eventually build and maintain a home in Dickson County Tennessee for temporarily displaced children in Tennessee's  23rd district (5 counties) and to provide lasting funding for the home. His long term goal is to start additional Billy's Place homes around the county.The annual Craig Morgan charity weekend has raised $250,000 in the last four years in support of The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation and other children's welfare organizations.

Country Music's Kellie Pickler Visits Canton Ohio Stark County Community High School For Concert

It was a damp mild evening Friday April 25th at Glenoak High School in Canton,Ohio. American Alum, Dancing With The Stars season 16 winner, country's female artist Kellie Pickler rolled into the Stark County community to give a concert at the high schools theater. Fans and admirers of all ages gathered at the school for an evening they would never forget. Pickler was tickled to be a part of the community as she herself is simply a small town girl, who hails from the tiny town of Albemarle, North Carolina who resides just outside of music city in Nashville these days with husband and songwriter Kyle Jacobs. Kellie Pickler's opening act rising artist and local Nashville resident Russell Dickerson performed a 45 minute set that would include songs from his debut album, with an EP coming later this year. Russell's charm and stage presence had the crowd interaction going on songs "That's My Girl" and  "Something Good" including Garth Brooks "I Got Friends In Low Places". Dickerson's musicality and guitar skills were breathless, full of energy and plain enjoyable.Russell has traveled across the country opening for some of country's hottest stars from Montgomery Gentry, Darius Rucker and Billy Currington. This won't be the last we see or hear from Russell Dickerson, his future is bright. It was 9 o' clock when Kellie was introduced, appearing in her black stiletto heels, skin tight leggings, black top, orange leather jacket and bling hugging her in all the right places. Pickler's likeliness approach is nothing more than endearing from a cheering crowd of male and female fans. Starting the hour and a half set with "Bonnie and Clyde" from her newly released album The Woman I Am. Pickler roams the stage with ease approaching fans from near and far of the stage using the entire crowd pleasing them with her earliest hits  "Best Days of Your Life", "I Wonder" and "Don't You Know Your Beautiful". It was her performance of "Selma Drye" that would resonate with the audience telling her story of her great grandmother Selma Drye who didn't own a car, washed her clothes by hand and hung them out to dry. "She didn't have a penny to her name, well she had money, she wasn't rich, she made due with what she had", Pickler explains before performing the song. "Ring For Sale" was yet another song written from personal experience and thanked her friend Pam back in Albemarle for the inspiration. At one point during the show Kellie was stopped by a high school junior who asked her to prom, her sweet demeanor was apologetic and thanked him for the offer who will be in Alabama, she thought. "Hard to keep these dates straight, I'm everywhere these days", she said during the impromptu Q and A with the audience, that is the woman she is. Pickler is as unpredictable and spontaneous as she comes. What is apparent are her country roots performing "Stop Cheating On Me" and "Where's Tammy Wynette" from her critically acclaimed third album 100 Proof. It was her performance of "Someone Somewhere Tonight" that didn't leave a dry eye in the house, the poignant song has been covered by Kenny Rogers and Pam Tillis. Pickler's band made an impact on the crowd with their high energy music skills, Dave Baker on steel guitar, Jay Gorman on bass, Kyle Sellers on piano, Gregg Lohman on drums and one fella who I can't for the life of me remember. I sure do apologize for my short term memory loss. The highly talented band of musicians rocked the crowd. Kellie's most recent single "Little Bit Gypsy" she explained came from the inspiration of her husband who calls her, her little gypsy.Others performed  "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You", "Tough", "No Cure For Crazy" and encore performance of her very first hit single "Red High Heels". Kellie Pickler may be a house hold name and very popular among country music fans, it is though Kellie as just the small town girl she is and when given opportunities to perform in a small town jumps at the opportunity. It is not an every day occurence for a big country artist to come to a town such as Canton, a high school for that matter. Canton,Ohio loved her and we may just see more of her in the future.

Bucky Covington Releases New Single BUZZIN' As An Independent Artist

Many artists today have found a place independently in country music, Bucky Covington has truly found his place, it simply fits him and is thrilled to release his brand new single BUZZIN' to country radio.BUZZIN', the lead single from Bucky's current project expected out later this year, is the perfect summer-time theme song. Written by Due West's Brad Hull and produced by Covington himself and Dale Oliver will be delivered to country radio this week via PlayMPE and CDX, it will bring Covington's fans a brand new and exciting side twist to his vocal style. Expect the unexpected from Bucky Covington.

After much thought and consideration decided to go the independent route last year. Already 2014 is shaping up for Bucky who's  currently in studio wrapping up his new independent project, which he is co-producing with Grammy nominated Dale Oliver, and gearing up for upcoming tour dates.
