Kitty Wells paved the way for many female artists in country music, she'll always remain as the queen of country, a legend and pioneer. Kitty was a force to be reckoned with, she pushed the boundaries among her fellow male counterparts who dominated country radio. Kitty made country music history, she was voted the nations number one country female artist by all trade publications such as Billboard, Cashbox, Record World and Downbeat Magazine for fourteen years. Kitty is most recognized for her signature song "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels". Kitty's relentless spirit and love for music kept her in the spotlight for more than two decades, she inspired many to follow in her footsteps who include Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Lynn Anderson, Tammy Wynette, Dottie West, Jeanie C. Riley,Tanya Tucker,Sunny Sweeney and Kellie Pickler to name. Kitty will leave a legacy on country music, she will be greatly missed.
With love and prayers to Kitty's family, your in our hearts.
