Thompson Square Lights Up Canton, Ohio Stark County Fair

It was a hot, humid summer day Thursday August 30th for fair goers, attendance might have not exceeded expectations however country duo Thompson Square were pleased, happy to come to Canton, Ohio for the 2012 Stark County Fair, as the headlining act of the summer season Thompson Square didn't disappoint fans. Husband and wife duo Keifer and Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square who brought us the hit singles "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not", "I Got You" and "Glass" are well on their way to super stardom. The electrifying duo works a crowd. Through out the hour and a half set Shawna and Keifer entertained, interacted with the audience, joked and poked fun at each other.


The night's highlights included fans to join in a sing a long on "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not", the finale of the show and "I Got You" when Thompson Square insisted fans come closer to them, it was every fan for themselves.





Shawna and Keifer remain grateful, truly thankful for fans coming to the show through out the evening, it really is about the fans who make the artist, it truly shows.  At one point through out the show, Shawn and Keifer talk candidly of their sponsorship with ChildFund International, for every child you can provide food, companionship and a better life for them. You can change a childhood and change the world. Shawna and Keifer are sponsoring a young girl in Indonesia.  Among the highlights Thompson Square asked the audience who were among the couples and singles out in the crowd. "Have you ever noticed how happy single people are", Shawna protested, she giggles. She asks the crowd, "Are there any happily married couples in the audience". The crowd roars slightly, to the right hand side a couple in the audience announce they have been married for 52 years. Shawna and Keifer were mighty impressed, as they have been together for 13 years now.

The evening's set list included a variety including famous duo cover songs Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash's "Jackson" to Tammy Wynette & George Jones and Joan Jett with songs from the debut album, "Glass", "I Got You", "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not", "Get Away Car", "All The Way", As Bad As It Gets", Let's Fight", "My Kind of Crazy" and "One Of Those Days".
As the show unwinds Shawna and Keifer announce they will sign autographs after the show, many flocked their way towards the merchandise booth for an autograph and photo opportunity with the duo.

There are no signs of Thompson Square slowing down any time soon their currently working on their sophomore album.
